PostSubject: The Day   Tue Nov 01, 2011 7:09 am

Impatience brewing, Nathan watched intently as he danced his fingers across the kitchen counter, his parents standing ever so patiently in their drive-way as his mother struggled to find the car keys, scavenging every square inch of her purse. He always hated that, especially when they were in the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant, the cashier losing their patience as light-heated food slept within the their paper bags. Usually, Nathan was one of the most patient people in the world, always tolerant of ridiculously long lines at state fairs, always finding some minuscule thing to entertain himself, but today he just couldn't help himself, and he felt completely out of character because of it. It was going to be the first time in months that Nathan would have the entire house to himself, minus their small terrier dog, and while usually he wouldn't care for such an opportunity to finally be alone with himself, today it was the opposite. "Just leave already, please." he uttered between a masking smile as his mother continued to dig receipts in and out of her purse. He had just turned sixteen, living the life of a becoming sophomore, and today was Friday, the main event of the weekday. While the rest of the week was otherwise uneventful, Thursday celebrated the day of his birth, while the coming weekend was his coming party. "Party" in the loosest sense of the word, as it was just going to be a barbecue with family and his best friend, Violet Evans.

As much as their families suggested it, even made fun of it, Violet and Nathan weren't going out, they had been best friends for as long as either of them could walk, and Nathan always felt weird with the idea of calling her his potential "girlfriend." Sure, they shared common interests, knew each other probably better than their own parents, but Nathan never felt like "boyfriend" material to Violet Evans. She was rash, headstrong, extremely impatient, violent, and most of all, protective. Never once had he ever had the need to protect her, as Nathan was always the one being protected by her. He wasn't embarrassed by it, well...only when people brought it up, but other than that, it just felt normal to Nathan, despite the usual gender roles. Stopping himself from leaping in joy, his mother had finally found the car keys, almost fumbling them back into the depths of her purse as she brought it to driver's side door. Jumping into their car, his father passing a leaving salute to his alert son through the window, they started the car, and pulled themselves out of the driveway. Watching intently until the car was no longer within his visionary range, Nathan feeling an intensifying rush, dashed into his bedroom and slammed the door...just in case. Even if he was the only one in the house, he couldn't take the chance. No, no, he couldn't, despite being alone, it still felt like the entire world was watching him with prying eyes.

---

Rummaging through her purse, Hana Brightly, still on an emotional high on her first victory, let alone wrestling match, was on a quest to find her cellphone. Not because she wanted to call somebody, but because Violet had informed her, via instant message, that she had sent her a text earlier, with a very, very funny picture of CZ Thrust, Hana's opponent for the upcoming card. The promise of a funny picture might have been nothing, but the promise of a funny picture of CZ Thrust, SWE's most flamboyant superstar, was more than enough to immediately stir Hana on the side quests of all side quests. Thrust just by himself was a hilarious person, his character the epitome of masculinity, but the idea that Violet had snapped a picture of Thrust doing something unintentionally hilarious was like dubstep music, strangely alluring, she couldn't quite pinpoint why she suddenly felt the drive to see it. Lipstick, kawaii neko ears, stickers of Haruhi Suzumiya, and her name tag from last year's Sakura-Con all looked to want to stray Hana from her goal, but she would have none of it! Frustration surfacing, Hana stomped towards her bed and dumped the contents of her purse onto the bedding. It wasn't until now that she realized how disorganized her purse was, the promise of never becoming her mother unfortunately broken as she sighed disapprovingly. Thinking back, she did have trouble finding her debit card the last time she went to McDonald's. Dang.

She honestly couldn't believe the amount of receipts flooding her Hello Kitty comforters, even masking the character herself as Hana spread it's contents out with a waving hand. Jolly Rancher wrappers, multiple espresso "punch" cards, all with just three or four away from earning her free mocha, and her yellow hair band all laughed graciously at Hana as she struggled to find any evidence of her cellphone. Did she not leave it in her purse? Biting her lower lip, Hana began to look around her room, which despite what her purse may suggest, was extremely organized. "If it's in yesterday's jeans, I'm going to feel like I'm in a stupid commercial." Strolling back to her computer chair, Hana plopped down and swiveled in place before turning her attention to the computer screen, Violet's conversation box blinking orange as she popped it open.

Opening his closet, Nathan took a deep breath and pulled out a gift bag. Violet, knowing it was his birthday just a day ago, had given him a gift after their classes, and had sternly informed him to not open it unless he was alone. The anticipation had been killing since, Violet not helping matters when she began pestering him about the present earlier this afternoon. "Did you open it yet?" was the question of the day as Nathan just blushed and wished he had. But now, now was finally the moment! His parents gone, his bedroom door closed, the bl..THE BLINDS! Placing the bag on his bed Nathan rushed to his windows as he quickly closed them, the twisting knob's speed only determined by the quickness of his finger tips. One, two, three, all looked to be accounted for as Nathan's main event was finally here. Violet's gifts were always his favorite, they always held a mysterious charm that his others lacked, and he could never quite explain why. Just feeling the texture of the gift bag excited him as he held at arm's length, taking appreciation for the waving and winking Pikachu in front of him. "Finally."

Letting out one last breath, Nathan undid the tape holding the bag together just before his cellphone rang. Not just any ring. The "you got a new text message" ring! Biting his lower lip, Nathan put the bag down, the lips of it now wide open as he looked around the source of the sound. Snapping his fingers, he spotted at the foot of his computer table as walked towards it, grabbed it and slung it skyward, landing in the palm of his hand. He could have just settled with a simple grab, but he liked doing cool, unnecessary things. Swinging the head open, it was, as usual, a text from Violet Evans. He didn't even need to open the message to know what it read, Violet lived just down the street, she probably spotted the family car leaving the avenue just moments ago from her bedroom window. But, just in case it wasn't, Nathan opened the message anyway.

Violet Evans:
Have you opened it yet?

Shaking his head, Nathan closed his phone and placed it back on his computer table. "Just give a moment Violet, geeze." Hopeful that the distractions were gone for the remainder of the evening, Nathan grabbed the bag for the umpteenth time, and finally plunged his hand inside it. Having no visuals yet, he could feel the texture of clothing caress his hands as growing excitement began to spread throughout his entire body. He knew what it was, he could imagine exactly what was behind the smiling Pikachu as he allowed his hand to get devoured by not just one texture, but now two. Nathan and Violet had shared their deepest secrets with one another, and it was just six months ago that Nathan had finally found the courage within himself to admit his most secretive to Violet. He had always felt misplaced, never quite at ease with himself, Nathan always knew what he really wanted, but it was simply impossible to become that dream. Wishes to Santa, prayers for just a glimpse, Nathan was now sixteen, he had to rid himself of such a implorable fantasies, but after he told Violet, she wouldn't let him. In fact, she embraced it! Which completely took Nathan off guard. Having trouble hiding his smile, Nathan pulled a light blue skirt out of the gift bag, the texture of the fabric delicate as it graced his wrists.

---

Hana hated having laundry in her bedroom, so she always had it neatly folded in it's own basket just outside her door. Her cellphone had to be somewhere, holding the treasure she currently held most dear. One by one, she unfolded a dirty piece of clothing, checked for any evidence, and refolded it neatly next to the basket. It was getting ridiculous! Hana did have the habit of forgetting things in her pockets, from money, to (now ruined) DS games, to even her many cellphones, Hana had a tendency to be forgetful about dangling things in her pockets, but even yesterday's clothes held no evidence of her poor cellphone. Clenching a fist, Hana hit herself in the thigh as she pulled herself back off the floor and began to look around her living room. Various of pictures of herself with her small circle of friends were scattered about her living space along with memorabilia of her favorite manga and anime series. Plastic, miniature, posable figurines of her favorite characters seemed to be in every corner of her living room, while her draping curtains had various Japanese-style emoticons laughing, fuming, and crying at her. Bookshelves also decorated her walls with not only the spines of her favorite manga books, but DVD's as well. Hana loved to be entertained, and often found herself lost within the emotions and scenarios of her animated companions. "Where. The. Heck. Are. You?"

As if on cue, this song began to play wildly from a distance, which immediately cracked on a smile for Hana Brightly. Such a song only met one thing! SOMEONE WAS CALLING HER! Rushing to her cellphone in distress, Hana had concluded that the cries were originating from her small kitchen. The kitchen was hardly used for cooking, merely a space to microwave weight-watching TV dinners, have a bowl of cereal, or grab one of the thousands of boxes of Pocky she ordered off the internet, some even serving as payments for her costume-creating endeavors. Why the cellphone would be there? She honestly couldn't remember. Almost tripping over herself, Hana found herself within the least inhabited section of her apartment, her wailing cellphone just a door or two of finally being found.

Cupboard door, after cupboard door, the hostage kept hidden until finally, her refrigerator was the final door to opened. Was it really in her refrigerator? Placing her hands on her hips, Hana intently stared at the line of pictures between herself and Violet taken nearly a decade ago at a mall photo booth. They were both in their preteens, smiling happily together, each picture having a face wackier than the last. Sighing, Hana, taking one last moment to admire the memory before opening her refrigerator, her cellphone sandwiched between a cartoon of skim milk and a two liter bottle of Mountain Dew. "I should have known. You two were always jealous of her!" Playfully chastising her select choice of beverages, Hana cupped her phone between her hands for warmth before checking the caller ID and closing the refrigerator door.

"Incoming Call: Violet Evans."

Not bothering to answer, Hana knew Violet was just calling her phone to help in the search. Tossing her phone into the air, she caught it and held it close to her heart while she made her way back into her bedroom, the coolness of the refrigerator seemingly cooling her down from her previous moments of frustration. She was just a few clicks away from finally seeing that CZ Thrust photograph, the anticipation growing even stronger. Leaping into her computer chair, she placed her phone adjacent to her keyboard, much to the displeasure of her prying mind.

Hello KiDDT says:
Gwaaaaah. =.= Found it. Thank you so much.

Nathan couldn't believe it. He never felt such an intense happiness as he held the skirt out in front of him, just the slightest nudge forced the fabric to beautifully move, the slightest touch against his forearms just sprinkling him in delight. Placing the skirt on his lap, he then pulled the second item from the bag, and instantly blushed, instantly throwing the item back into the bag as if he just came across an item of contraband. "I can't believe you would buy me those." he whispered to himself, just in case his dog was listening and could comprehend what he was saying. Other than the skirt, Violet had seemingly purchased him a pair of Hello Kitty panties, an item of clothing he wasn't sure he could picture himself wearing, at least not yet. Placing the bag of contraband on his bedroom floor, Nathan than picked up the skirt again and continued to admire it. It didn't feel nearly as taboo as the underwear, but it was just the imagery, the idea of wearing it that seemed to ease any ongoing troubles going through his mind. He used to hate admitting it to himself, but after telling Violet, he began to feel more at ease with the idea, his dream. Nathan had wanted to be a girl, always imagining himself how people may have portrayed him if he were, how he would carry himself, how he would act in public, and what his name would be. Would he act differently? Would he perceive matters differently? Would people still have constantly picked at him for being the smallest in his class? For the being the least athletic? Nathan had grown obsessed with the idea, and now, holding in front of him was an item of clothing that any man wouldn't be caught wearing! Never!

He had to put it on. No one was watching, no one could. He had to feel it. Nathan had to know how it felt to wear a skirt, just a glimpse of how it would be like to be a woman. That's why Violet bought this for him, that's why Violet told him to open the gift alone, that's why Violet was his best friend. She encouraged him, she supported him, she never would do anything to hurt him. He could feel his body wanting to reject the idea, beads of sweat making themselves known across his forehead. A milestone, Nathan never knew how a milestone physically felt until this very moment. Wiggling his toes across the carpet, Nathan unbuttoned his jeans and allowed them to fall onto the floor. Breathing heavily, the anticipation was killing him, he had to put it on. It may have just been a skirt, but this skirt used to be nothing but a dream, but now...now it was a screaming reality. Grabbing it from his bed, still loving the texture of the fabric hug his wrists, Nathan closed his eyes and could mentally feel himself struggle to put it on. "Now or never, Nate. Now or never!" Letting out one last breath, he pulled it upward.

Afraid to open his eyes, Nathan stayed completely still for a minute. The coolness of the room temperature kissed his bare legs as the skirt reached just below mid-thigh. The feeling was completely alien to him, and just the notion of wearing the skirt made him feel a rush of femininity. Still afraid to even picture the reality, he continued to close and eyes, and imagined himself as a woman, how now he could physically feel the sensation of wearing an item of clothing that was synonymous to his opposite gender. It was exciting, enthralling. He couldn't wipe the smile off his face as he twirled in place, the skirt following Newton's Law of Motion as he felt, for the first time, the skirt wrap around his thighs before forcing itself to stop. Allowing himself a moment to settle down, Nathan carefully opened his eyes, stupidly afraid that the mental image inside his head didn't match the physical. It was obvious. Nathan was stupid to assume that he matched his dreams, but looking down, his skirt smiling back at him, he didn't care. This was enough. Finally, he could feel his dreaming becoming more and more of a reality. Fumbling for his phone, Nathan quickly replied back to Violet.

Nathan Bridgewater
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much. Words cannot express.

Pressing "send," and admiring how he felt wearing his new favorite present, Nathan lost himself in time, a replying text disrupting his new bliss.

Violet Evans
Take a picture, and send it to me ASAP!

Hana's jaw dropped. She couldn't believe what Violet had witnessed, and conveniently took a picture of. Ever since she first read CZ Thrust's profile on the SWE roster page, Hana had felt he was a man completely comfortable with his sexuality. Bedazzled abs, killer facial hair...really, really, really well endowed. It was no secret that CZ Thrust was the complete opposite of Hana Brightly, at least personality-wise. While Hana preferred to shy away, CZ Thrust was determined to do the opposite. Wearing wrestling tights that "conveniently" rode up his butt, CZ Thrust loved making his presence known, his trademark moves leaving no imagination to how sexual he wished to be perceived. CZ Thrust, quite simply, was the epitome of masculinity, completely fearless, and simply absorbed the uneasiness he made his opponents feel, using it against them. But this picture...this picture made Hana feel that perhaps they shared more in common then initially assumed.

Thrust's hands caressing the back of his head, his never-changing facial expression, from the waist-up, CZ Thrust looked to just be following routine. His glittering skin really exemplifying the abilities of Violet's cellphone camera. From the waist-down was a completely different story. It felt so out of place, like it shouldn't exist. Trying to force herself to stop chuckling, CZ Thrust, despite his masculinity, was wearing a skirt. Not just any skirt, not just any, normal skirt. The type of skirt that's extraordinarily small, that more-or-less, didn't hide anything, the kind of skirt that could probably be used as a hand towel. Underneath that skirt? Lacey pink panties, which didn't hide Thrust's manhood in the slightest, his tent stretching the underwear to its absolute limit. Did Thrust change into it? Was this part of Thrust's casual clothing before getting into his wrestling gear? Hana Brightly didn't know, she had never met the man, but she found it absolutely hilarious. For a man that's a man amongst men to wear such items of clothing? She could only imagine what the other men in the locker room were thinking as she tried to recognize any faces in the background to no avail.

Hello KiDDT says:
Oh my god, the expression on his face is absolutely priceless!
DON'T THINK I'M NOT WATCHING YOU! says:
I know right?! I figured I would do some scouting for you, so I took a quick snapshot of his locker room, but never expected that!
Hello KiDDT says:
At first, I was a little scared to go into the ring against him. I could only imagine the embarrassing things he's going to put me through, but after seeing this, I think I could live.
DON'T THINK I'M NOT WATCHING YOU! says:
u know...it kind of reminds me of a picture.
Hello KiDDT says:
oh?

DON'T THINK I'M NOT WATCHING YOU! is sending you a file, accept?

The thumbnail of the sending image immediately brought a smile on Hana's face. It was the day after her sixteenth birthday, she could remember it so clearly. It was the first day she realized she could become who she was today.

Hello KiDDT says:
OMG. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU STILL HAVE THAT!
DON'T THINK I'M NOT WATCHING YOU! says:
i save everything. Razz

OOC: I proof-read while I wrote it, but there could still be some grammatical errors, so I apologize in advance. Opposed to last week, I wanted this role-play to dive into more of the Hana Brightly character, providing more background for her. My role-plays aren't usually this long, but I needed to tie in both stories, so one cannot exist without the other. I asked permission from CZ Thrust's handler if it was okay to put his character into a funny position. I love this role-play a lot more than my first, and I hope you all enjoy it too. Hopefully it's not a bore to read. ^_^;

I read it all! Smile Although very good and well written it wasn't exactly a promo nor did it have much to do with your match which is kinda what the rules state.

Quote :
This is the area where you hype up your weekly matches for Friday Night Showtime! You may post backstage, empty arena, outside of the arena, or where ever just make sure it is about your match.

Reading it felt more like reading a character development RP but with that being said it was still good none the less.

Oh and don't mind Anton. He's in the business of making Denmark look bad and business is a boomin'

The role-play happened because of CZ Thrust. If it wasn't for CZ Thrust, Hana wouldn't have had flashed back about the picture, given he's the reason the flash back scenes happened in the first place, and there wouldn't have been an anchoring story without him. But thank you for taking the time to read it, and love the feedback. ^_^ Different places consider different types of role-plays as "promos", so I knew I was trending that line writing this, and I just needed to see what kind of writing I needed to do here, and find a comfort zone between this role-play and my last.
